Are you guys still checking this? I hadn't sewn anything in a while, so I pulled out the machine to make a few things for my mom for Mothers' Day, some cute little slippers and a "finger mitt", the same kind I made my brother-in-law for Christmas. I'm hoping to be sewing a lot more since summer is coming up! I'm also hosting my friend Angela's bridal shower in a few weeks so I'll have some cute crafts to show for that!

Little Projects
I hosted my book club's dinner party this month, so I finally made a set of cloth napkins I've been wanting. I am getting better at mitered corners, now that I have tried every method out there!
Also, I made a few of these fun headbands and gave them to my friend Liza in Nica. They were super easy, and I plan to make many more as soon as possible!

Four more blocks....
This quilt is taking longer than expected- i hope to have 16 blocks and then do a simple boarder around them. Perhaps the finished product will be the size of a twin comforter. Anyway- I finished 4 more blocks today- slowly but surely!!!
Quiltcon!!!!
This past weekend I traveled to Austin, Texas to attend Quiltcon! I had never been to Austin so I was extra excited- explore a new city and see beautiful quilts!!! I saw some really magnificent quilts that inspired me. I also got to try using a long arm sewing machine and doing some free motion stitching. It was a great experience and motivated me to finish all the quilts I have started so I can move on to new projects!

Another Dress
Wow, it's been a while since anyone posted! Seems like we've all been super busy! My friend Angela broke her leg pretty bad and is out of commission for a while, so I'm trying to do a few things here and there to brighten her days. Tonight I made her daughter Piper this pillowcase dress. It's just like the one I made before, only smaller and with different fabric. I think I'm getting addicted to making these dresses!

In response to pleating...
I made an apron this past summer with pleating around the waistband- it my first time doing pleats and it took some getting used to- making sure the iron was hot enough and making sure my pressing was accurate. I'd like to try some new projects that incorporate pleating to refresh me! The clutch you made looks awesome- great job!!!
