Card display

I found this on Pinterest! I got a hoop at michaels, wrapped some pretty ribbon around it and then glued clothes pins on it! Took about 20 minutes to make!!

New Toy

I got a new toy the other day - a Cricut! After I got it I really wondered about how often I would use it and if it would really be so useful to me, and then I set it up and used it. It is so quick and easy to set up, and just as easy to use!! It will save me SO much time decorating things in my classroom (all these years whenever I want to make a sign/bulletin board/decoration, I've had to either buy a package of cut-out letters, where I have to sit and punch out each letter, and there are never enough of the ones you need the most, or I've had to use the die-cut machine where you cut each letter one.at.a.time. So I am VERY happy to have this thing now! I set it up and just cut out a few letters and shapes for fun. I am already thinking of so many cute cards and other things I can make now!

Pinterest-Inspired Pillow

Another project I tackled today was making a Pinterest-inspired state-to-state pillow for Jess. You know, the ones where here are two states with a heart in the middle and a dotted line connecting them? Obviously the states I used were Florida and Tennessee, since that's where they're moving. I also used orange and blue because, well, we're Gators. It was my first time doing applique - and I think I might want it to be my last. Maybe I started with too-hard of a shape, with these jagged-edged states, but it was super time-consuming. I hand-turned the wheel myself for at least half of each state. All in all, I think it turned out okay. Not the best looking thing ever, but I know it will be more sentimental than anything. (Did you notice how many hyphenated words I had here?)

Leah-Inspired-Scarves

Hi friends!
I followed the link Leah sent us and made these infinity scarves. I just used the full length of the fabric the way I had it cut, and I made them thinner since Jessica is such a skinny you-know-what - so I think they ended up being about 7" x 45". They aren't long enough to wrap two times but they fit great when looped just once. I think they turned out okay, and what a quick, easy project! So glad to get our craft-share on!
